This project comprises the design and build of a new 71 bed, dementia care home for Richmond Care Villages.
The new development is located close to the residential suburb of Willaston, on the site of the former Redsands Children’s Centre.
The facility consists of interconnecting building blocks, with a main central building and two courtyard wings to the east and west. The central building comprises of two floors, with each courtyard wing being single storey.
Alongside standard care facilities, residents will also have access to an on-site cafeteria, hairdressing salon and treatment room.
Externally, 65 car parking spaces have been created – 40 spaces for residents, and 15 for visitors.
External landscaping complements the care home, and involves retaining mature trees as well as new plantings.
The new facility is expected to create 80 jobs and will provide specialist dementia care, alongside Richmond’s existing care village in Nantwich.
The project was completed July 2020.
