AOur Aim is to achieve our stated target of reducing CO2 emissions by 5% per annum, by retaining our Planet Mark Accreditation and investing in systems, processes, plant and equipment to measure and minimise carbon emissions in construction, and in the end use of our completed projects

Our Energy Management System is ISO 50001:2011 certificated; the basis of our Energy Management Systems is the Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) model that provides a process to achieve continual improvement.

To achieve continual improvement, we take the following steps to ensure compliance, measure energy (ensuring compliance with ESOS requirements), and identify cost-effective energy efficiency recommendations for areas of significant energy consumption:

  • We capture and collate energy consumption data for our offices and sites
  • Measures to reduce energy use are assessed to ensure minimum cost/carbon usage

Energy Saving Targets

  • Reduce diesel Fuel Consumption (Power Generation and Plant Operations) by 5%
  • Reduce diesel Fuel Consumption (Plant Operations) of 2%
  • Reduce grid electricity consumption (offices and Sites) by 5%
  • Reduce fuel consumption (Petrol & Diesel) fleet cars and vans by 2%

Reduce Transport / Fuel

  • Use Plant which is EU IV/V compliant
  • Our in-house Geomatics Team provide the latest technologies to drive fuel efficiency including GPS tracking and 3D Machine Control on plant and equipment
  • Maximise opportunities for local labour and suppliers

Reduce Energy / Carbon

  • Partnership with the Supply Chain Sustainability School
  • Work with our supply chain
  • Use energy efficient Site Accommodation and Welfare
  • Undertake Weekly and Monthly monitoring and reporting of fuel and electricity usage
